Physical Education at Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School provides pupils with the opportunity to be creative, competitive, resilient, ambitious, inspiring and fair.
Physical Education, physical activity and school sport all have high profile at Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School. It is through these opportunities that pupils become physically confident; they learn that physical activity is fun and important to lead a healthy lifestyle. Our children compete in many competitions, both inter and intra school which build character and embed key values such as teamwork, fairness and respect.
We recognise that PE, physical activity and school sport make an active contribution towards many aspects of pupils' social, moral, spiritual and cultural development. Pupils learn how to think in different ways and make decisions in response to creative, competitive and challenging activities. They learn how to plan and perform as well as reflect on and evaluate actions, ideas and performances to improve the quality of their work.
We work closely with the community to enhance our PE curriculum. Pupils have the opportunity to work with local clubs such as Leeds United, The Leeds Rhinos, Yorkshire Cricket, Airienteers, COPAMO Football Academy, The Den Experiment, White Rose Cheers and the FA.
