Today the children in Year 1 learnt all about the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. They spent sometime looking at his paintings and then Miss Kirk chose one for them to try recreate. She chose Starry Night. The children looked closely at his painting focusing on tints and shades and then experimented with making their own tints and shades. 

After this the children got to work at recreating Van Gogh's beautiful painting, making sure to add some tints and shades along the way. The children did a fantastic job and I'm sure you'll agree their final paintings are superb.
